Oncore Seniors Society is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our Board consists of community leaders with a wide range of skills and a shared passion for providing affordable housing. Our Board is always looking for leaders interested in furthering the society’s vision.

Board of Directors
Mona Murray
Mona is a Commercial Real Estate Agent, and currently works with MCM Real Estate Ltd. She has over 30 years of experience in Real Estate and over 25 years of experience in Property Management.
Doug Springford
Doug has been a practicing lawyer in the Kamloops area since 1985, with a focus on business, corporate, commercial, finance, and real estate law. He has also been an instructor for the Nicola Valley Institute of Technology since 1986, teaching Business Law and Economics.
Cathy Thibault
Cathy has concluded a 35-year career as a healthcare administrator. Her professional career was focused on nutrition and food service administration, and then broadened to community health programs in the last 12 years. Post retirement she has continued to volunteer and is also on the Board of the Sun Peaks Health Association. Cathy joined the Oncore Seniors Society Board in 2022.
Les Tabata
Les recently concluded a 40-year career in facilities management and capital projects, including 20 years on the leadership team at Thompson Rivers University. He was raised in Kamloops, then went on to higher education at UBC. Les joined the board of Oncore Seniors Society in 2022.
Shirley Culver
Shirley has been an active member of the Kamloops community for years. In 1989 she joined Community Futures Thompson Country as their Community Economic Development Coordinator, a position she held until retirement in 2016. In addition, she served as an elected City Councillor for the City of Kamloops from 1988 to 1999. Since her retirement she has served as a Director for the Low Income Seniors Rental Society (Ponderosa Place) and as a member of her Strata Council for Sahali Estates. Shirley joined the Board in 2023.
David Poulin
David is a retired emergency physician and senior medical administrator who has previously worked for the Interior Health Authority, the Saskatoon Health Region and Physicians of Saskatchewan. He is currently an elections administrator at the federal and local levels, as well as a volunteer with Kamloops Emergency Support Services. David joined the Board in 2023.
Cindy Bobbett
Five years prior to retirement Cindy transitioned to advocating and working with seniors through Oncore Seniors Society. As the General Manager for RiverBend and Mayfair Manors she became involved in the development of the Prince George RiverBend community. Prior to this she worked 26 years for the Federal and Provincial governments and related community contracts. Cindy joined the Board in 2023.
Carol Grant
Currently the President of Creekside Seniors Centre with over 200 members in the community of Chase, B. C., Carol enjoys organizational activities in the community, particularly for Seniors. Previous experience as an Activity Director with Rancho Rialto Home & RV Park in Arizona. Carol is pleased to be assisting Oncore as we pursue a new affordable Seniors Housing project in Chase.
Tim Rowe
Tim recently became an Oncore Board Director. He has worked in health care for many years as an Administrator responsible for home and community care across the Northern Health region. He has managed Assisted Living Housing and Long Term Care Facilities
Bill Kershaw
Bill has been a member of the Barriere Chamber of Commerce for many years. In addition he has been a Board member and Chair for multiple organizations including the Barriere Improvement District, T.W.R.D, and community futures. Bill joined the Board in 2023.
